Unable to resist another shot of the New Town Hall, this time lit by the setting sun.
From Marienplatz, we walked west, on Kaufingerstrasse and Neuhauser Strasse, to Karlsplatz Stachus. Pedestrian streets lined with shops and department stores, Saint Michael’s Church, and the Augustiner Bierkeller beer hall.

Across from Karlsplatz is the courthouse, or Justizpalast. We were told the inside is quite impressive, with arches and grand staircases, and worth a visit.
