This is the premier festival on the island of Nevis. Culturama is a 12-day celebration focusing on all aspects of Nevisian arts, culture, and activities leading up to the festival span the entire month of July.
The majority of the island residents are of African descent, and this festival celebrates a significant milestone of the island’s history – the emancipation of slaves in the 1830s.
Nevis was once known as the tiny sleepy sister island of St Kitts, however today it has become one of the most popular destinations for travelers seeking a more authentic Caribbean vibe.

GETTING TO NEVIS – Fly directly to Nevis or via the sister island of St Kitts
Vance W. Amory International Airport (SKB) is located on the northern tip of the island between Oualie Beach and Nisbet Estate. Commercial carriers that operate in and out of Nevis include Cape Air, Winair, Coastal Air, Air Sunshine, Seaborne Airlines, Fly Montserrat, Tradewind Aviation, and private aircraft.
The distance between the two islands at the nearest point is just 2 miles and just a short ride from the airport to the boat dock. The boat trip from St Kitts takes approximately 40 minutes.
